“What do you do?”, a yogi asked when she met me on Mardi Gras. She had been drinking. I ran into her at a studio while I was saying goodbye to some people. She mentioned that she knew about me and what I offered. Then she asked very matter of fact, “But what do you do?” It took me a minute to respond. I mean, how do you tell someone that you change lives through your teachings and spiritual presence? I already know how unbelievable that sounds. So I changed the subject and played around before leaving. I don’t need to explain myself.
I had been drinking a few weeks before on the birthday of one of my best friend’s friend. Usually I sugar coat my spiritual side when I am with the general public. However, after a few drinks, my inhibition goes out the window. I grabbed her hands and asked if I could bless her. She agreed. Then I looked her in the eyes and sent waves of energy. It creeped her out. I laugh about it with my friends. I would never have done that to someone I barely know, but I did! I am laughing now. Right after that her business was placed in a storefront. She may never recognize the synchronicity, but she doesn’t have to. We all know.
A few days ago, one of my close guy friends was in anxiety. Before I really open up to people on a spiritual level, I like to get to know them to prevent causing them any discomfort. He has been in my life for years but we have recently developed a bond. Finally I had enough of hearing him suffer. So I dropped him into meditation and called in the blessings. “Get a journal to document the good that will come your way after this.”, I instructed him.
I got this text this morning.

I live for the moments that I help people tap into their highest power. I could do this every day. I love it.
By the water, in Ocean Springs, I feel so much more aligned with my authenticity. That is the key to growth. I was talking to my neighbor today about the work I want to share with people.
I remember, years ago, feeling hopeless and suicidal. I knew there was some information that I was missing. I needed help. I sought it. I read every single day. I researched. I took master classes. I learned that you can only mindset yourself to a certain level. True evolution comes through authenticity.
It’s all about energy. EVERYTHING IS ENERGY. The mind with its belief systems and mindsets are only one factor. The body, the physiological side is another. Knowing your hormones and taking care of the vessel is important. It’s a level of self awareness. Then the spirit is another side to the whole thing. Your values and morals are the compass of authenticity. The more authentic you become, the more powerful you get. The greatest alignment there can be is being authentic with the highest expression of your energy.
I joke about the Paige Portal, but we all have a divine power within us. We all have a gift. Mine just happens to be a healing balm and an amplifier of energy. I am a generator of sorts.
You know who you are deep within. Some of you are soft lights that bring peace. Some of you bring encouragement. Some of you bring deep understanding. Some of you hold the deepest space for people to unfold. Each of us is so similar and so unique, like the colors in the rainbow. We blend to make something beautiful, always present but often times hidden from plain sight.
May we all find our power to truly understand ourselves and learn to love on the deepest level.
And so when I am asked, “What do you even do?”, my response will be, “I show people their strengths.” And that my friends is good enough of an answer.
Here’s to showing up for you my love,
Paige Elliott
