I can always tell when the full moon is approaching. The shedding occurs like a flash of lightning. What doesn’t serve my spirit irritates me like a wool sweater in the winter . “I cant stand it anymore! Take it off!”, I feel deeply in my heart.
So I honor that. I go within, to the sanctuary inside. I sit at the foot of God, praying for covering. I find myself resting there like a young child leaning up against their father’s leg, my head resting gently as The Spirit of the Most High caresses my hair.
In these moments of shedding, I do not have to run or chase. I do not have to fight. I simply have to be. I let the fires consume me if it’s necessary. I will just be. I’ll meet the den of lions with assurance, because I know that all is well.
In all everything that we experience in life, it’s important to remember that there’s a purpose for it all. The more we fight, the more we suffer. Sometimes it’s important to simply let go and allow God to work it all out.
