In a previous post I announced the new name of the yoga fest and was quickly addressed by my sisterhood.
A friend down the grapevine in Lafayette has a business with the same word Kindred in it and I don’t feel aligned with crowding the small market with a similar name.
After much deliberation and sitting with what is actually happening with the fest, I decided Elevate International Wellness Fest was an even better name for this elevation.
Here are a few things I’ve changed in this enhancement :
- Juried Vendors: I am having vendors apply to be a part of the fest to ensure that competition energy stay out of this intentional, sacred space. I want to protect the investment of my vendors and sponsors. Although there will be similar items sold, the market won’t be saturated. This is what keeps vendors excited to participate each year. - Learning Den: In addition to the breakout sessions in the zen den, I will be scheduling thought leaders and experts to teach informal workshops in a larger yurt throughout the festivities.
